Launceston Eye Doctors operates Private Ophthalmic Consulting rooms located in Launceston Tasmania.
We are seeking a Full-time Receptionist/Ophthalmic Technician to join our great and supportive team – Monday to Friday.
Ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills, a warm nature, and a fundamental emphasis on customer service. Important attributes include the ability to multi-task, use of initiative, and attention to detail. Previous experience using ophthalmic diagnostic equipment will be viewed very favourably.
The Role:
- Reception/Administration duties
- Be responsible for the receipt of billing and payments from patients, including end of day banking reconciliation
- Patient consultation including history-taking, measurement of visual acuity and intraocular pressures
- Liaise with patients and their families in a compassionate manner
- Liaise with GPs, other health professionals and their staff
- Consistently be aware of and comply with OHS requirements
- Assisting our ophthalmic medical team by screening patients and undertaking ophthalmic tests.
